Stuffed Garlic Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter, softened
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano 
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or a blend of your favorite cheeses)
  • ½ teaspoon [Not So] SIMPLE SPICE

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, oregano, and SIMPLE SPICE. Mix until all ingredients are well-incorporated.
  3. Without cutting through the entire loaf, make a slice down the side.
  4. Gently pry open and add a bit of the garlic butter mixture inside.
  5. Follow with a sprinkle of shredded cheese. 
  6. Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  7. Make slices down the top but don’t cut all the way through. Spread the rest of the garlic mixture on the top and in each slice. 
  8. Cover the bread loosely with another piece of aluminum foil.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Then, remove the foil covering and bake for another 10 minutes or until the top is golden and crispy.
